Privacy policy
I’m C.J. Ware. CJBuilt has built custom software, automation, and websites for clients since 2010. This site runs no advertising, no remarketing, and no embedded third-party content. The contact form posts to a small program that runs alongside this site, and every font and image is served from here too. The one exception is Google Analytics, described below, which is the only third-party service your browser talks to from this site.

Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic in general terms: which pages get visited, roughly how many people are visiting, what kind of device and browser they’re using, and which site or search engine sent them here. It doesn’t tell me who you are.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this, and the information it collects is sent to and processed by Google, subject to Google’s own privacy policy. Nothing else on this site sets a cookie. The only cookies here are the ones Google Analytics sets.
To opt out, you can block cookies in your browser’s settings, use a private/incognito window, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics from collecting data on any site you visit, not just this one.
The contact form
If you fill in the contact form, the name, email address, phone number and message you send are emailed to me and land in my inbox. They are used only to reply to you. There is no database, no CRM, and no mailing list. The form posts to a small program running on Cloudflare, where this site is hosted, which hands your message as one email to Resend, an email delivery service, addressed to me. Resend keeps its own delivery records for a limited time, as any mail server does; nobody else sees it.
I don’t share this information with anyone else. Not ever.
Hosting and logs
This site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard edge logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting, on its own schedule, not mine. The contact-form program writes a log line only when something goes wrong: a submission turned away by the spam limit below, or one that couldn’t be delivered. Those lines can include the name and email address you entered, so I can follow up, and nothing else.
Spam protection
To stop automated form abuse, a one-way fingerprint of the submitting IP address is stored only to count recent submissions from it. The address itself is not kept, the fingerprint isn’t used for anything beyond that count, and it expires automatically after an hour.
If a message can’t be delivered
On the rare occasion email delivery fails, your submission is saved to a private, access-restricted store so it isn’t lost, purely so I can follow up. If that store is itself unavailable, the submission is written instead to the program’s log as a last resort, so nothing silently disappears. Either way, it isn’t published, indexed, or used for any other purpose.
Getting in touch about your data
Get in touch through the contact form and I’ll delete anything you’ve sent me, wherever it ended up: my inbox, the delivery-failure store, or the program’s log. There’s no database, no CRM, and no mailing list; those three places are the only places a message can be.
